Once again, after eleven editions, the University of Alicante (UA) recognizes the most innovative and sustainable business initiatives arising from the University community in the Impulse Awards. In total, in this 2022 edition, 26 innovative initiatives have opted for the awards that was announced 7 July, in a ceremony held in the Paraninfo and chaired by the rector of the UA, Amparo Navarro.
The Vice-Rectorate for Students and Employability of the UA has awarded the Accessibility Award to Jorge Pomares, Nuria Díaz, Carlos Dorado, Zuleika M. Redondo, Adrián Sanchis, Carlos Eduardo Fernández, Ismael Beviá and Mario Amorós for their accessible project Ares, which proposes the development and distribution of a robotic lower limb exoskeleton. The exoskeleton was created with the aim of giving users with various disabilities the opportunity to regain their mobility, improve their quality of life and increase their autonomy.
