AURA Hand is the third project of the Exoforge initiative. This project focuses on the development of a modular and adaptable hand prosthesis, designed to address diverse user needs. The prosthesis includes interchangeable components for greater versatility and uses electromyographic (EMG) sensors to enable intuitive control through muscle signals, delivering a seamless and functional solution for upper-limb prosthetics.

Today, we are pleased to announce the successful completion of our 3D printing workshop, which marks the exciting launch of the AURAhand project—one of the promising initiatives under the EXOFORGE innovation program, developed by the Human Robotics (HURO) group. Our robotics students had the valuable opportunity to explore the fundamentals of 3D printing, a crucial tool in advancing the AURAhand project.
Throughout the workshop, participants discovered how 3D printing is essential for bringing the designs of the hand prosthesis—central to the AURAhand project—to life. This experience not only enhanced their technical skills but also fostered creativity and collaboration among the team.
